Following Jesus will radically alter the trajectory of your life. Jesus offers abundant life to everyone. But it won’t happen in isolation. The Bible teaches that spiritual growth happens best through relationships.
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
Hebrews 10:24-25 NIV
It is vital for those who attend Central to have a healthy growing relationship with Jesus. This happens best in community when people gather together to learn more about God and live out His mission.
Jesus has called us to a journey which can’t be traveled alone. Here at Central, we don’t want you to walk alone. We need Christian brothers and sisters to come alongside us to encourage us, edify us, and be there for us. That is the purpose of the Groups at Central. Our Groups are designed to bring people together around the Bible and service. In order to be a life-changing church, we need to be intentional about living our faith to the fullest and growing other disciples of Jesus.
It’s more important than ever to fight for community, even while we’re all practicing social distancing. That’s why we’ll be meeting as groups using Zoom calls! Existing groups and ROOTED groups will follow a schedule determined by the groups’ facilitators. The sermon study discussion groups corresponding with the brand new series, “Declutter” will happen at 7:30pm starting Sunday, April 19. (5-weeks). Go to CentralNow.com/discussionnotes for the sermon study guides each week.
Why should I join a Small Group?
We believe in the power of small groups to impact your life, the lives of those around you, and even our community as a whole. We believe you can only go so far on your own— God designed us to be connected to each other so that we can continue to grow in every facet of our lives.
When can I join a group?
The best time to join a group is in the weeks leading up to a new term.
What types of groups are there?
The main categories for groups are Mixed, Women’s, Men’s, Healing, and Sunday School.
Is childcare provided?
Childcare is provided during each term when groups meet on campus.
We’ve tried to make the process as simple as possible, but we’re always here to help in any way we can! For more detailed information or questions, contact Journey Pastor Jared LeCrone at 242-4185 x21, or Email Jared.
