We will look at the first four Beatitudes; “God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for Him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs. God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted. God blesses those who are humble, for they will inherit the whole earth. God blesses those who hunger and thirst for justice, for they will be satisfied.”
Over the next six weekends, we will learn from Jesus' Sermon on the Mount, found in Matthew 5 - 6. We will see how Christians are blessed only when they reach the end of self and focus on living for Jesus.
The material will be loosely connected to the Kyle Idleman life group study, The End of Me.
Jesus' followers are to think and act differently than the world around us. We're not to be thermometers adjusting to the moral climate of our environment; we're to be thermostats setting the standard for the culture.
